Enokitake No. 1 refers to the product selected from the ASI 4021 strain, which has a variety of excellent properties, after the strain was grown nationwide or imported from abroad by the Institute of Agricultural Technology between 1981 and 1982 and the properties and growing method of each strain were identified in 1984. In 1986, in the productivity test, the strain was tested for its excellent production. In 1987, the mushroom spawn committee designated the mushroom as a commercial species. In selecting this species, Kim Han-gyeong, Park Jeong-sik, Cha Dong-yeol, and Jeong Hwan-chae participated.
